反对兴建油管的数十名示威者,昨日再到本那比康德摩根(Kinder Morgan)跨山油管(Trans Mountain)工地示威,由于法庭较早前已发出禁制令,禁止示威者进入工地5米范围内,警方后来到场将20多名示威者拘捕。示威者扬言,未来数天仍会有行动,不会罢休。

继上周末有数千人参与反油管的示威后,数十人昨日再次发起抗议行动,多人将自己绑在本那比跨山油管工地的铁闸,自愿违反法庭禁制令。警员到场后,向示威者宣读禁制令内容后,将20多名示威者带走。
示威者发言人Amina Moustaqim-Barrette表示,抗议活动在原住民领导下进行,而警方昨日的拘捕行动也是和平进行,示威者也表现合作。她说,昨日行动只是第一波,未来数天抗议活动会继续,直至3月26日。该日是康德摩根必须在鸟结巢之前要清理好树木的期限。一名示威者很坚定地相信,油管不可能建得成,因为抗议人士愿付出一切代价阻扰工程进行。

康德摩根的发言人表示,公司理解不是人人都支持油管扩建计划,也支持和平、合法的抗议活动,但公司已得到卑诗最高法院颁下的禁制令,示威者必须尊重禁制令内容。

阿省联合保守党党领康尼(Jason Kenney)也发推特表示,示威者有权利抗议,但不能阻挡工地出入,必须尊重法治精神,而跨山油管已获得通过,他们无权拖延工程致计划死亡。
